Our History

Nearly Five Decades
of Engineering Excellence

Civil Engineering Company (CEC) was founded in 1977 in Amman, Jordan, with a clear mission: deliver construction excellence that transforms communities. What began as a regional contracting firm has grown — through five decades of landmark projects — into one of Jordan's most experienced civil engineering and construction companies.

Our first projects were modest in scale but uncompromising in quality. That reputation spread — from municipal contracts to national infrastructure, from commercial towers to five-star hospitality. Each decade brought new capabilities, new sectors, and a deeper commitment to the communities we serve.

Today, CEC holds First Grade classification across all five major construction disciplines simultaneously — one of the very few contractors in Jordan to achieve this full-spectrum designation. A distinction earned through 49 years of continuous project delivery.

Company Founded

CEC established in Amman. First contracts awarded for residential and municipal building works.

Infrastructure Expansion

First major water and sewerage contracts secured. CEC enters the infrastructure sector.

Construction of landmark hotels including Holiday Inn Amman. First major bridge projects delivered.
