Our History

Nearly Five Decades
of Engineering Excellence

Civil Engineering Company was founded in 1977 in Amman, Jordan, with a simple conviction: that quality construction changes lives. What began as a small contracting firm grew, through decades of dedicated work, into one of the most trusted builders in the country.

Our first projects were modest in scale but uncompromising in quality. That reputation spread — from municipal contracts to national infrastructure, from commercial towers to five-star hospitality. Each decade brought new capabilities, new sectors, and a deeper commitment to the communities we serve.

Today, CEC holds First Grade classification across all major construction categories — the only firm in Jordan to hold this distinction across every discipline simultaneously.

Company Founded

CEC established in Amman. First contracts awarded for residential and municipal building works.

1985

Infrastructure Expansion

First major water and sewerage contracts secured. CEC enters the infrastructure sector.

1990s

Hospitality & Bridges

Construction of landmark hotels including Holiday Inn Amman. First major bridge projects delivered.

2000s

Commercial & Institutional

Rapid expansion into corporate offices, government buildings, and educational institutions.

2015

Renewable Energy

First Grade classification in Renewable Energy achieved. Wind farm construction begins.

A civil engineer by training and a builder by calling. Established CEC in 1977 with a commitment to precision and integrity that has defined the company ever since. Oversaw the firm's growth from a local contractor to Jordan's leading construction enterprise over four decades.
